Early Achievers is Washington State’s voluntary program for helping licensed child care providers offer high-quality care.  The Child Care Aware of Washington Network is responsible for the “Improvement” efforts in the development of a statewide &lt;span class=&quot;caps&quot;&gt;QRIS&lt;/span&gt; that includes working with local communities statewide to offer consistent high quality supports to providers that include, but are not limited to, technical assistance, professional development, on-site consultation, and coaching.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;The TA Specialist will provide resources and support to programs enrolling in Early Achievers and moving through the Level 2 process in preparation for rating. Services will focus on enrollment, program assessment, access to Level 2 trainings and implementation of training content, understanding of policies and procedures, meeting quality standards, and preparation for the on site evaluation.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;The TA Specialist is a member of the Early Achiever team, coordinated by the Regional Coordinator.  The Specialist participates as an active member of the Early Achieve team; setting goals and deciding how to accomplish the work of the program. In addition, a TA specialist will be assigned primary responsibility for supporting a caseload of providers moving through Level 2 of Early Achievers.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;caps&quot;&gt;ESSENTIAL&lt;/span&gt; FUNCTIONS:&lt;br /&gt;&#10;To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. Specific responsibilities of the TA Specialist include, but may not be limited to:&lt;br /&gt;&#10;·         Recruit and assist licensed center and family child care providers to enter into and progress through WA State Early Achievers Quality Rating and Improvement System.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;·         Provide culturally relevant and inclusive technical assistance in person at licensed child care facilities throughout service delivery region and also by phone and e-mail.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;·         Provide Technical Assistance to child care providers to build capacity around various domains including specific early learning topics, use of technology, navigating the state professional development system, and carrying out quality related self-assessments.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;·         Manage a caseload up to 40 clients and assist clients in reaching specific milestones over a distinct period of time.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;·         Participate in &lt;span class=&quot;caps&quot;&gt;C-ME&lt;/span&gt; technical assistant cohort meetings.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;·         Participate in contractor training and other professional development activities required by &lt;span class=&quot;caps&quot;&gt;C-ME&lt;/span&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;·         Input completed documentation into the Efforts to Outcomes Social Solutions database and/or other databases, and complete reports and documentation as outlined by &lt;span class=&quot;caps&quot;&gt;C-ME&lt;/span&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;·         Maintain provider, family, and child confidentiality.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;·         Other duties that relate to the work of the Early Achiever team as assigned.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;QUALIFICATIONS:&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Minimum requirements include at least 5 years of relevant experience; or an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and 3 years related work experience; or a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and 3 years related work experience; or a Masters of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and 3 year related job experience.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;caps&quot;&gt;REQUIRED&lt;/span&gt; COMPETENCIES:&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Ability to work independently and self-motivate; majority of time is offsite work.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Ability to maintain timely documentation/data entry into electronic data system.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Proven ability to consistently meet monthly project goals. &lt;br /&gt;&#10;Ability to work night and weekend hours.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Knowledge of Early Childhood Education programs and resources, including school districts.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Demonstrated knowledge of child care licensing program policies and early childhood education.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Excellent written and verbal communication skills.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Excellent listening skills with the ability to give and receive critical feedback.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Proven ability to work in a team environment.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Demonstrated commitment to diversity, cultural relevancy and inclusion is required.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Experience in/understanding of the provision quality customer service.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Knowledge of computer software, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Washington State Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and access to a reliable automobile.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Must be able to pass a criminal history check.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&#10;&#9;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span class=&quot;caps&quot;&gt;DESIRED&lt;/span&gt; QUALIFICATIONS:&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Speaking abilities in the Spanish language.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Knowledge of service delivery area and resources.&lt;br /&gt;&#10;Demonstrated ability to present information formally and informally to large and small groups.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.earlylearningjobs.org/job/740/early-achievers-technical-ta-specialist-at-walla-walla-community-college/&quot;&gt;Apply to this job&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;</description>
