The Program Administrative Support Assistant is responsible for providing general office support to Network staff. The position works in collaboration with the Network’s staff and under the general direction of the Deputy Director.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program support for general office and scholarship program shall include, but not be limited to:

• Offers general support to all office staff
• Provides fiscal support to Chief Financial Officer and staff
• Provides clerical support including general filing and photocopying
• Provides administrative and program support to the WA Scholarships program
• Provides backup to the Office Manager in answering general office/consumer education phone lines

• Researches general topics for program directors

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED. AA Degree or higher preferred.
• Two years of related nonprofit work experience
• Demonstrated attention to detail with ability to proof own work
• Good computer skills and familiarity with standard office programs, including word processing software, access and excel
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and perform tasks with minimal supervision
• Ability to work as a team player in a collaborative style with respect for the diversity of others
• Good attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills

Overall Responsibilities include:

Required skills and qualifications:

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

• Current First Aid and CPR Certifications

• A current Child Development Associate certificate (CDA); or at least 45 college quarter credit hours in early childhood education; or a minimum of 30 college quarter credit hours and a minimum of 150 DSHS approved ‘clock hours’ (ten clock hours equal one college credit) in early childhood education or child development.

• Evidence of completion of a minimum of 20 hours of Basic STARS training, as well as completion of the annual 10 hours of STARS training requirement

• A commitment to continued professional development, including administrative/supervisory/management classes and trainings as required by various regulatory agencies

• At least three years experience working with school age/pre-school children

• At least one year experience at the management/supervisory level in record maintenance, financial management and staff/child/parent communication

• At least one year experience having demonstrated knowledge and competency in behavior management and activity planning/coordinating

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately

• Strong communication skills, with proven ability to communicate with children and adults in a positive and proactive manner

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
