at Teaching & Mentoring Communities in Laredo, Texas
Director of Children and Families
Roles and Responsibility:
The Director of Children and Families has full responsibility for TMC’s current and future programs for children and families including MSHS, HS/EHS, Webb County EHS, Starr/Zapata Counties HS/EHS. This includes directing and managing all personnel, programs, facilities, transportation, technology and services to children and families in accordance with local, state and federal regulation and standards. Ensures school readiness of all TMC program children.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Master’s Degree in Early Education or related field in Education.
2. Three (3) to five (5) years experience in upper management position.
3. Demonstrated experience of effectively operating programs with multi-million dollar budgets
(minimum of $35 million), in multiple work areas (minimum of 3 geographic regions) , supervising large staff similar to TMC’s and maintaining strong and effective community support, while meeting and exceeding goals.
4. Vision and Planning
5. Excellent Management skills.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.
7. Ability to work extended hours and travel out-of area when required.
8. Must relocate.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. PhD in Administration, Social Work, Education, Public Administration, or related field in Human Services.
2. Seven (7) years experience in upper management position.
Start Date: Immediately
Type: Full-Time
