Title: Program Intern
Reports to: Program Officer
Stipend: $1,500 per quarter
Duration: March--June 2012 / 140 hours per period
The Position:
Foundation for Early Learning is seeking a qualified intern from March—June 2012. The successful candidate will learn about the philanthropic and the nonprofit sectors – specifically project management. The internship will be performed on location at the Foundation’s downtown Seattle office. The intern may be asked to travel to different locations.
This part-time, paid internship will include the following:
● Publication distribution and outreach
● Project and research support
● Data collection and management
● Possibly event management
● Other tasks
The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in public administration, social work administration, nonprofit management, education administration, or a related program. The candidate must pay attention to detail and meet deadlines. S/He must also have excellent communication and customer service skills, both on the phone and in writing. Physical requirements include being able to lift boxes weighing 35 lbs and maneuver on stairs. Interest in children’s issues a plus!
