PSESD seeks a Native American Early Learning Coordinator to coordinate and support innovative classroom services for early childhood (ages birth to 5) learning programs and schools to reach and support Native American/Alaska Native children and their families (Job #120112001).

Successful candidate has a BA/BS degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, or other related area, and experience working with Native American/Alaska Native children in early childhood (birth to 5) settings, including direct EC classroom experience and experience in early childhood curriculum development (AA degree in job-related area and increasing levels of job-related experience may substitute for BA degree). Experience in using data to inform instruction and record keeping preferred. Experience working with Head Start/ECEAP and/or low-income families a plus.

Positions based in Fife, with travel to various areas in Pierce County. Schedule: PT (8 hrs/day, 32 hrs/wk); school year (~155 days/yr). Salary: $175.04 - $198.08/day, DOE. Positions expected to continue through June 2013, with possibility of extension contingent upon funding. Excellent benefit/retirement package.
