The South Whidbey Children’s Center (SWCC), located in Langley, WA, has a current opening for an Executive Director. Located in the Pacific Northwest, the SWCC is a private, not-for-profit early learning center offering a High/Scope Curriculum with a team teaching approach to over 100 children ages 1 to 11 years. Our facilities include five classrooms with attached playground/gardens. The SWCC has been a vital part of our community for over thirty years.
We seek a warm, dynamic, creative leader to join our exceptional team, which includes two program supervisors, 18 full-time teachers, and 10 part-time teachers. The Executive Director should be a thoughtful listener, an organized and creative thinker, and an excellent communicator, who brings energy and sound judgment to facilitate relationships, work collaboratively, address needs, and build community.
The overall responsibility of the Executive Director is to ensure the delivery of a best practice preschool and school-age childcare curriculum which is accredited by NAEYC and licensed by Washington State Department of Early Learning.
