Job Description
The Research and Development Coordinator shall perform the duties necessary to support and manage the Training Partnership’s Research and Development functions.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate activities of the Research and Development department in the development of innovative new curriculum to train Home Care Aides in the state of Washington
• Coordinate research projects to inform curriculum; coordinate or conduct literature reviews, conduct interviews and focus groups, implement surveys
• Coordinate innovative projects to collect data from field including digital audio “field journaling;”prepare & manage shipping of participant materials, utilize software to manage audio files; identify themes
• Coordination with vendors and contractors developing instructional materials, including e-learning vendors and Instructional Designers, Graphic Designers, Translation vendors, etc.
• Coordination of “R&D” lab and pilot testing activities
• Coordination with Operations Department for training delivery
• Identify, assess, and recommend media assets to integrate into training
• Transcription of input from interviews, focus groups, field journaling and other modalities of collection; analyze data and write recommendations.
• Writing, editing, or graphic design of instructional materials, as per experience and as job priorities allow
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• College level education (or equivalent). Degree or certificate in education, public health or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project coordination
• Excellent organization, time management and problem solving skills
• Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient computer skills; expertise using Microsoft Office suite – especially Word and Excel; Knowledge of graphic design or research software a plus
• Interest in curriculum development, healthcare and/or research preferred
• Instructional Design, Editing, or Technical Communications background a plus
• Desire to learn research software tools
Compensation and Benefits
Full-time exempt position. Compensation is $35K to $40K depending on experience. Full benefits include health insurance, pension, 22 vacation days and 15 sick days.
